2024 Results & Event Photos
The 2024 National Invitational was enjoyed by players from across Australia, from Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia, along with teams from regional Victoria and Melbourne teams.
The Cape Schanck Trophy played on the Moonah course was won by Christine Lynam from Sanctuary Cove with 35pts
The Bronze division was won by Sarah Mainwaring from Royal Queensland.
All players enjoyed welcome drinks and snacks after their round, catching up with players from previous years.
Tuesday was The National Invitational Team event – best 3 or 4 stableford scores was played on The Old course. The winning team was Metropolitan with 96pts and the runner up was Yarra Bend with 94pts.
The National Cup – best individual stableford for Monday and Tuesday was won by Biviana Gilson from Sanctuary Cove with 68pts. The runner up was Karen Rahilly from Rossdale with 67pts.
The best Individual Stableford was Cherrie Zhang from Keysborough with 38pt – Cherrie won the Bronze division for the day. Margaret Winship from Victoria was runner up with 38pt on a countback. The Silver division was one by Esther Carrol from Concord with 36pts, and Wendy Ji from Metropolitan was runner up with 36pts on a countback.
That evening the Presentation Dinner was enjoyed by all players. We welcomed our Sponsors from Alba Thermal Springs who sponsored the day and our event – their support is much appreciated.
On Wednesday morning the Lady Nelson Bell was played in perfect weather on the Gunnamatta course. The Bairnsdale team – Janet Gibson and Ros Pearce won the day with an excellent 46pts. Runners up were Mandy Bawden and Flavia Gobbo from Port Fairy with 45pts.
