2020 Event

The National Invitational was enjoyed by over 150 women golfers from across Australia in pleasant weather conditions over the three days of the event.

The Cape Schanck Trophy, an Individual stableford event played at the Long Island course was won by Marion Venn from Terang with 41 pts.

The Lady Nelson Bell, a 4BBB stableford event played on the Old course was won by Southern Golf Club pair Hea Kim and Jeong-hee Moon with 43 pts, on a countback from Jane Millar and Annabel Hunt from Albert Park Ladies Golf Club.

The main teams event, The National Invitational, was played on Wednesday on the Moonah course. The format is individual stableford with the total of the best 3 scores of the 4 players in the team.

The winners were the Heritage team with Lee Watson, Marie Gorman, Annette Den Elzen and Tessa Fraser with 94 pts. The runners up with 93 pts was the team from Terang / Warrnambool - Vicki Philp, Marion Venn, Alison Sinclair and Ciara Lappin.

The National Cup was won by Di Goodall from Warrnambool.

All players enjoyed the wonderful catering, fantastic course conditions and the pleasure of meeting new friends and renewing previous friendships.

The 2021 event will be held on March 1st - 3rd 2021.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to The National next year for another celebration of women’s golf.
